Paper is a material of natural origin, its main component – cellulose is the most common natural polymer on the globe. Paper properties allow it to be multiply recycled. When treated properly, paper is suitable for design and architecture as the main building material. During the lecture, the different scopes of architectural objects and buildings made of paper-based materials will be presented.

Dr. eng. arch. Jerzy Łątka is an architect, designer and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. In his designs and research Jerzy deals with paper as a building material in innovative structures as well as temporary, emergency and social-oriented architecture. He gained professional and scientific experiences in international architectural practices and universities. In 2021 he won the Polish national final of FameLab.
